Two men from Duncan were arrested after getting caught red handed in a drug deal last week.

An investigation by the RCMP’s local street crime unit allowed for a search warrant to be issued on 52 year-old Anthony Pitt’s home Thursday; Pitt was subsequently charged with trafficking in a controlled substance.

A 39-year-old man was also arrested for possession of a controlled substance and charges are pending.

This was a proactive investigation targeting a suspected ‘dial-a-dope’ drug dealer operating through the Municipality of North Cowichan and the City of Duncan.

“Our investigation led us to a residence where we sought a search warrant and seized drugs we believe were intended for sale,” said S/Sgt. Kurt Bosnell, plainclothes commander for the North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP.
