Public can weigh in on future land use on 1 Port Drive

The City of Nanaimo will hold an open house June 21

The public can give feedback into the future of 1 Port Drive during an open house this afternoon.

The City of Nanaimo is creating a master plan for 1 Port Drive, a 10.8-hectare spread on the south downtown waterfront.

The city is currently exploring concepts and options for future land uses and key plan features, such as site access and a transit exchange, a press release says.

The open house will be today (June 21) from 4-8 p.m. at 1 Port Drive, directly across from Port Place Shopping Centre.

The master plan is expected to go to council for consideration by the end of the year.
