Nanaimo RCMP is perking up its inaugural Coffee With a Cop for anyone with a morning caffeine craving who wants to compare notes with police over what they think is stirring, right or wrong, in the community.

Coffee With a Cop has been hand-picked by a number of police agencies across North America as a way to boost communication with the public in an informal setting.

Nanaimo’s first such constabulary coffee klatch happens at the Brooks Landing Save-On-Foods this Thursday (June 29) 10-11 a.m.

At future Coffee With a Cop events, Nanaimo RCMP intends to find out what’s brewing by having different police officers who have a robust blend of backgrounds, service and expertise from the Nanaimo detachment on hand to answer any questions.
