According to Nanaimo RCMP’s Unsolved Crimes in Nanaimo for Nov. 9-16, there has been a rise in stolen clothing and personal items from the two recreation facilities.

Thieves are entering change rooms and randomly going through unattended bags and clothing to find anything of value, according to the press release in which patrons are advised to never leave clothing on benches, to always lock personal items in available storage lockers and pin locker keys to swim suits.
