Nanaimo RCMP seeking man who might have information on teen’s whereabouts

Nanaimo RCMP have released an image of a man they suspect is in the company of a missing teen in the hopes that he might have information about her whereabouts.

Makayla Chang, 16, was last seen in Nanaimo on March 17. She goes by the names Makayla, Kayla or Finn and is described as part Asian, part Caucasian female. She is described as 5-foot-1, 110 pounds, with light skin and short, dyed-red hair. She wears glasses and has piercings in her lip. She also wears wigs and may dress as a male at times.

According to police, Chang might be in the company of 53-year-old Steven Michael Bacon. He is described as Caucasian, 5-foot-10, 209 pounds with white hair in a short buzz cut. He has a thick white goatee that is yellowing, a teardrop tattoo under his left eye and a tattoo on the back of his right hand.
