An 86-year-old Nanaimo man has been found alive and well.
Nanaimo RCMP sought the public’s help in locating Lance Parker on Friday after he was reported missing by his family. He had been last seen leaving his central Nanaimo home around 12:30 p.m.
“The elderly gentleman is currently with friends and family, who extend their sincere appreciation and gratitude to everyone who helped with the search,” said Const. Gary O’Brien, Nanaimo RCMP spokesman.
“Although he was not found by Nanaimo Search and Rescue, special thanks goes out to them as they searched every street, green space and gully throughout central Nanaimo until 3 a.m.,” O’Brien said.
