A Lantzville volunteer has been recognized for his commitment to the local community once again.

Tom Whipps, longtime volunteer with the Lantzville fire department, has been named as a 2017 B.C. Community Achievement Award recipient.

The community achievement award recognizes volunteering efforts made by British Columbians from across the province. The awards are given out by the British Columbia Achievement Foundation.
