Colder weather means flu season is coming and Island Health is asking people prepare by getting their shots.

Flu vaccines are available from pharmacists and physicians at many locations, Island Health said in a press release.

Free vaccines are available for children aged six months to five years, seniors 65 years and up, pregnant women, aboriginal people and people at high risk from flu complications and their close contacts.

Clinics go Nov. 1 from 1:45 to 4 p.m. at Oliver Woods Community Centre and Nov. 9 from 2 to 6:30 p.m. at Beban Park social centre.
