Fence posts propped up more than fence panels when a car went out of control on Jingle Pot Road in Nanaimo Thursday morning.

East Wellington and Nanaimo Fire Rescue crews were called out to a crash at 3582 Jingle Pot Rd. shortly before noon, after a car went of the road while rounding a sharp corner. It struck a concrete guard rail and flipped onto a fence constructed of metal panels and heavy wooden beams.

Witnesses at the scene said the 19-year-old woman driving the car appeared uninjured. She was attended to by B.C. Ambulance paramedics after bystanders helped her out of her wrecked car.

Traffic on Jingle Pot Road was re-routed until the car could be towed from the scene.

The cause of the wreck was undetermined.
