Nanaimo releases annual water report

Nanaimo water makes the grade, according to a new water quality report.

The City of Nanaimo has released its 2013 Annual Water Quality Report, showing where our water comes from and how the city ensures it’s safe.

The document says the city’s drinking water met provincial and federal standards last year. It also reports there were 33 complaints in 2013, the majority of which were over the colour and taste of drinking water. Most of the problems were fixed after additional flushing of the city’s distribution main lines.
