Extra security removed from Nanaimo school

Added security at Nanaimo District Secondary School and the District Administration Centre on Wakesiah Avenue was discontinued at noon today.

Security was added to the two locations on Friday in response to a potential threat. On Monday, Nanaimo school district's threat assessment team, which includes the Nanaimo RCMP and community partners, determined the heightened level of security is no longer required.
