Nanaimo police seek owners of recovered stolen items

When police pulled over a U-Haul truck Wednesday at about 12:30 a.m., the driver failed to convince them he was in lawful possession items they found in the back of the truck.

Now police are looking for the owners of two complete sets of golf clubs and a homemade dune buggy they seized and suspect are stolen.

Items recovered include one homemade purple dune buggy, one set of right-hand Callaway Golf Steelhead X-16 golf clubs in a green Callaway golf club bag, and a set of TaylorMade Golf R9 golf clubs in a red Nike golf bag.

Anyone with information about who owns the items is asked to call Nanaimo RCMP's non-emergency line at 250-754-2345.
