Mounties carrying out a search warrant at a Nanaimo residence turned up drugs, cash and a suspect Tuesday.

Police, suspecting there were drugs being kept at a home on the 300 block of Holly Avenue, moved in with a warrant shortly before 5:30 p.m.

The search revealed a quantity of cash, crystal methamphetamine, crack cocaine, marijuana and heroin.

Investigators also arrested a 30-year-old man for possession for purpose of trafficking a controlled substance.

The suspect has been released from custody and the investigation is continuing.
