Man sentenced for thefts
A Nanaimo man arrested earlier this month received jail time for multiple theft charges.
Stuart Bryan Gregg pleaded guilty in Nanaimo provincial court Tuesday Aug. 23 to nine counts of theft under $5,000 and was sentenced to 19 months in jail.
Gregg was arrested Aug. 9 by members of Nanaimo RCMP's Property Crime Unit at a storage facility. Members also confiscated a pickup truck loaded with stolen items alleged to have come from a series of thefts at Home Depot, private vehicles and one police bait car.
