Nanaimo theft suspect charged
Stuart Bryan Gregg, of Nanaimo, has been charged with 10 counts of theft under $5,000, five counts of mischief under $5,000 and tow counts of stolen property.
Gregg was arrested with another suspect Tuesday morning at a storage facility by Nanaimo RCMP's Property Crime Unit members who also confiscated a pickup truck loaded with stolen items alleged to have come from a series of thefts at Home Depot, private vehicles and one police bait car.
Gregg is being held in custody until he appears in Nanaimo provincial court Aug. 23.
Police said no one else has been charged in connection with the thefts so far.
Police are continuing to try and locate the owners of some of the stolen property.
