Nanaimo Mounties release one suspect in Baird murder
A woman arrested by Nanaimo Mounties as a possible suspect in a murder case has been released.
The woman, 25, was arrested after she was brought in for questioning Sunday and subsequently became a suspect in the murder of Brittany Elsie Baird, 22, who was found dead on Milford Crescent late Wednesday.
Const. Gary O'Brien, Nanaimo RCMP spokesman, said the woman was released without charges Tuesday.
Christopher James Robinson and Marcus Brandon Parry, both 24, of Nanaimo, were arrested Saturday and charged with second degree murder Monday.
O'Brien said there was a loose connection between Baird and the three people arrested.
