Shed torched in Cedar
Police are investigating an arson on Tiesu Road in Cedar.
The blaze broke out in a large shed on a residential property in the 2500 block of Tiesu Road, in the rural area south of Nanaimo, shortly after 6:30 a.m. March 14.
Const. Sherri Wade, Nanaimo RCMP spokeswoman, said the shed sustained substantial damage, but the heat and flames did not affect a home on the property nor any neighbouring properties.
This is the most recent suspected arson in Cedar.
Three vehicles were set on fire in Cedar with minutes and within blocks of one another early Feb. 15.
A Chevy Astro van, a small Ford Ranger pickup and tools in the back of a flatbed work truck were damaged when gasoline was allegedly used to set the vehicles alight.
No one was injured in any of the fires.
