Three vehicles crashed, causing one to roll upside-down on Nanaimo’s Nicol Street this afternoon.

Emergency crews are on scene at Nicol and Milton streets in Nanaimo’s south end, where three vehicles were involved in a crash Friday, May 3, at 4:15 p.m.

A pickup truck rolled and came to a rest on its roof.

None of the occupants of the vehicles, including a child passenger in the pickup, appeared to have sustained any worse than minor injuries in the incident.

One southbound lane of traffic is flowing on Nicol Street, but Milton Street is closed between Nicol and Victoria Road.

According to the most recent available ICBC data, there were seven crashes at that intersection in 2022 and 46 over the five-year period from 2018-2022.
