Some of Nanaimo’s youth artists may still be young, but they already have the ability to dazzle with their artwork.
The Nanaimo Art Gallery is holding its Dazzle Camouflage 2017 pop-up show this week, exhibiting pieces in a variety of media created this summer by teens in the gallery’s contemporary art immersion program.
“Mentored by professional artists, these 14 teens will have spent full days learning, discussing, experimenting, collaborating and making,” notes an art gallery press release.
The exhibit opens with a reception Wednesday (Aug. 30) from 7-9 p.m. and continues Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. both days at the Nanaimo Art Gallery at 150 Commercial St.
