Nanaimo filmmaker needs votes to win Telus StoryHive grant

Grant is $10,000 to make a music video for Nanaimo’s the Glen Foster Group

Nanaimo filmmaker Doug Wortley has teamed up with the Glen Foster Group to create a music video.

The video, Stepping Out on Saturday Night, is a song from the group’s fourth album. It is about a young couple who go for a fun evening on the town. It is currently one of the music videos competing in Telus’ StoryHive Music Videos Editions for a $10,000 grant.

To move into the next round, Wortley and the Glen Foster Group need votes. If they win, they have pledged to donate $2,500 from the grant to Nanaimo Foodshare Society and the Hub City Cinema Society.

Voting ends May 1.
