West Coast folk rockers will team up for a show on Gabriola Island with a theme of new beginnings and ‘starting from seed.’
The Hive Emporium hosts an event Saturday (July 15) featuring Calixxa, Patrick Olmsted and Builder and the Banshee.
Calixxa is a singer-songwriter from Powell River who draws inspiration for her music from nature and the social sciences, according to an event press release.
“Her music explores the depth of the human experience through poetic lyrics and catchy sing-along songs that will make you laugh and smile,” notes the press release.
Saturday’s show is at 7:30 p.m.; tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door.
