Celtic Chaos performs Saturday (March 18) at Thompson Clark Social Centre.

Celtic Chaos is continuing St. Patrick's Day festivities with a family-friendly affair Saturday (March 18).

The band is hosting a ceilidh, which is a community gathering that has two parts – a concert followed by called dances.

"People can expect many, many laughs as we as a group love to make music and tell stories and connect with people," said Joyce Beaton, a member of Celtic Chaos, in an e-mail.

She said the event is like a Cape Breton kitchen party. The focus is on fun, community and making friends.

The event is for all ages and no alcohol will be served.

The dancing portion of the evening consists of ceilidh dancing. A caller will guide participants through the steps.

The concert is at the Thompson Clark Social Centre, located at 10 Buttertubs Dr. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 7:30 p.m.

The band's music has Irish and Scottish roots.

"We perform for the sheer joy of it and we love seeing people respond," said Beaton.

Tickets are $20 available in advance from Tom Lee Music. For more information, please visit www.celticchaos.ca.
