Award-winning author and frontman of the Smugglers, Grant Lawrence, shares stories from his memoir Dirty Windshields during a book launch in Nanaimo on Friday (May 26).

Lawrence will read excerpts from his book at the Black Dot, located at 4 Church St. The event runs from 7-10 p.m. and Lawrence will read at 7:45 p.m. The evening also includes music by DJ Graham Watson. Admission is free.

Dirty Windshields is a “behind-the-scenes journey through the various music scenes of the early 1990s, revisiting legendary clubs, bars and concert venues across Canada, the U.S., Australia and Europe,” according to a press release.
