Annual Nanoose Bay Studio Showcase features more than 20 artists

More than 20 artists will gather at Nanoose Place Community Centre to showcase their wares during the annual Nanoose Bay Studio Showcase.

The showcase features a wide variety of artwork including sculpture, painting, mixed media, pottery, glasswork, jewelry, handmade soaps and more.

“It’s amazing to see the local talent. There is a wide range of art and different styles,” said Gail Sherson, co-organizer of the event.

The Nanoose Bay Studio Showcase is Saturday and Sunday (April 29-30) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Nanoose Place Community Centre. Admission is by donation to Nanoose Community Services. Food and beverages will be available for purchase at the event.

In addition to the showcase, three artists, Barbara Ann Scott, Carmen Monceau and Nancy Day are hosting the Open Studio Show at Nanoose Place Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Scott is a mixed media artist, Monceau is a painter and printmaker and Day is an impressionist painter.
