Nanaimo Theatre Group is seeking actors for its final production of the season.

The theatre group is holding auditions for the play, Toronto Mississippi.

Auditions are Jan 11 from 7-9 p.m. and Jan. 15 from 2-4 p.m. at the Bailey Studio, located at 2373 Rosstown Rd.

The play characters are Jhana, a woman over 18 who deals with disabilities; Maddie, a woman between the ages of 40 and 50 who is Jhana’s mother and a high school English teacher; King, a man between the ages of 40 and 50 who is Jhana’s father and an Elvis impersonator; and Bill, a man between the ages of 40 and 50 who is a poet.

Toronto Mississippi runs from April 19 to May 6.  It will be the Nanaimo Theatre Group’s entry for the North Island Zone Festival, which is being held in Courtenay May 14-20. For info, please e-mail jhepples@hotmail.com, dramapeg@hotmail.com or call 250-758-7246.
