Grants available for youth artists

Young artists in British Columbia got a big boost when the B.C. government announced more than $2 million in new grants available through the B.C. Arts Council.

The money is earmarked for creative youth initiatives, which will provide funding to arts and culture organizations throughout the province.

The remaining $600,000 will be going toward the Early Career Development Program, which is aimed at helping young professionals and recent grads acquire relevant work experience within the province’s creative sector.
