Arts council calling for show submissions

The Nanaimo Arts Council is presenting an Inter Generational Showcase in March and is asking the public to submit entries for display.

People are invited to submit fibre art, paintings, photographs or 3-D pieces for the exhibit.

The call for submissions is open to both Arts Council members and the public and must be made by Feb. 28.

Prizes will be awarded for each age category, which includes children, youth and seniors. There is also a People’s Choice award.

Artwork submitted must not have been entered in previous showcases, copies or artwork aren’t accepted – only original pieces.

Prize winners will be announced at an awards reception March 9, 1 p.m at the Nanaimo Arts Council gallery in Nanaimo North Town Centre.
