Poetry reading scheduled for The Vault
Nanaimo’s spoken word and open mike event continues at the Vault on Wallace Street Feb. 26.
The event’s featured performers are Heidi Greco, Emily McGiffin and Nora Gould.
Greco, who lives in the Vancouver area, often leads writing workshops and has published several collections of poetry including Siren Tattoo and Rattlesnake Plantain.
McGiffin has received numerous literary awards and was born and raised on Vancouver Island but currently resides in Skeena.
Gould received the Banff centre Bliss Carman Poetry Award in 2009 for her work.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Admission is $5.
