Art workshop offered in Nanaimo

Instructor Vida Newington leads a workshop in painting with watercolours for beginners.

The workshop specifically looks at washes, where students will learn to apply a flat, dry wash, a wet wash, a graded wash, a streaked wash and a textured wash. Basic colour mixing will also be covered.

The workshop is set for Saturday (Feb. 25), 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the campus Nanaimo Art Gallery. Cost is $80; $70/members. Please call 250-740-6350.
