Conservatory offers peek inside

All that Nanaimo Conservatory of Music has to offer will be on display during an annual open house Saturday (Sept. 10).

The doors at 375 Selby St. open at 11 a.m. with demonstrations in voice and choir, followed by piano, in Suzuki method and traditional, at 11:30 a.m.

At noon, woodwinds and brass instruments are featured, followed by strings – violin, viola, cello and more – at 1 p.m.

The Prelude Orchestra has their regular class at 1 p.m. Tom Lee Music will also be on hand with their instrument petting zoo. Refreshments and a silent auction round out the afternoon.

The Nanaimo Conservatory of Music offers individual and group lessons, ensembles, youth choirs, workshops and master-classes to all ages and skill levels, from beginner to professional.
