Highland dancers from Brigadoon Dance Academy earned medals – including one gold – from the Celtic Arts Championship in Anacortes, Wash.

Jillian Peacock won gold in the 14-15 year old championship class. Fellow dancer Zoya Lehrke’s top performance in her age group was third in the fling.

In the 12-13 year olds, Rachel Bramley took first runner-up, earning second places in the fling, sword dance and reel. Anissa Jahromi was third runner-up, with a top placing of third in the sword dance.

In the premier national competition, Rachel Bramley took first in the johnny, which saw Peacock earn similar honours.

Darryl Uhlmann competed in the intermediate group, earning the top spot in the Seann Triubhas and second in the flora.
