Our roads are full of bad drivers who are a danger to themselves and to others, but it doesn’t have to be that way.
Discovery Channel’s No. 1 rated show, Canada’s Worst Driver, wants to pluck Nanaimo’s most dismal drivers off the road and send them to its Driver’s Rehabilitation Centre in Ontario where they will undergo a series of in-car challenges designed to improve core skills like merging, parallel parking and reversing.
“This is more than just a TV show. That’s why it works. We take driver’s training seriously which means that when you leave the Driver’s Rehabilitation Centre you have truly improved behind the wheel,” said Andrew Younghusband, the show’s host and writer.

Producers of the show will be in Nanaimo in April to meet with potential candidates.
