Shredded paper documents converted to cold hard cash for Nanaimo RCMP Victim Services.

The organization was presented with a cheque for $1,417 from Nanaimo and District Crime Stoppers this week.

The money was half of the donation proceeds raised from a Crime Stoppers shredding event, Nov. 23, hosted by Save-On-Foods Brooks Landing and a Halloween candy giveaway hosted by Woodgrove Centre, Nanaimo North Town Centre and Country Club Centre shopping malls.
