Nanoose Edibles farm is hosting an open house this weekend.

The farm will be open Saturday to Monday (April 15-17), 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., for people to walk the grounds, tour the gardens, greenhouses and new planted fruit crops. A recently planted trial garden has 20 different varieties of pears.

A roundtable discussion on sustainability with Rose McCulley from J&R Farm takes place Saturday, from 1:30-3:30 p.m. McCulley, who is known as the ‘mason bee lady,’ will talk about starting and caring for mason bees. She will have mason bee larvae for sale as well as other equipment needed to start a colony.

Edibles farm owner Barbara Ebell will be planting a pollinator’s garden after McCulley’s presentation. Ebell will have a selection of pollinator plants available for sale.

The farm is located at 1960 Stewart Rd. For more information, please visit www.nanooseediblesfarm.com.
