A volunteer fair this weekend aims to connect people interested in volunteering with organizations that need the help.

Nanaimo Volunteer Fair takes place at Woodgrove Centre Saturday (April 8), 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The fair, organized by Volunteer Nanaimo with help from Vancouver Island University’s MBA practicum students, will host up to 20 local not-for-profit organizations whose programs are dependent on volunteers. The event will allow people interested in volunteering to browse and learn about different organizations in need of volunteer support.

Volunteer Nanaimo and the VIU MBA students are working together to feature a broad range of organizations targeting a cross-section of interests. For organizations unable to attend, Volunteer Nanaimo’s booth will have information readily available to support specific interest.
