Two authors will be at the downtown library Thursday (June 29) for an event called Adventures in Elder Land.

Carollyne Haynes, author of A Matter of Issue, and Janet Dunnett, author of The Dwindling, will read from their books which explore “the challenges of life’s third act,” according to an event press release. Dunnett’s memoirs are about caregiving for frail parents, while Haynes’s novel weaves birthrights, inheritances, elder abuse and love.

There will also be related discussion and light refreshments.

The event is tied in with Elder Abuse Awareness Month.

Adventures in Elder Land will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Harbourfront Library.
