The Redliners Car Club shined up their rides for a good cause.

The club’s fifth annual Redliners Charity Car Show at Nanaimo North Town Centre last month raised $5,495 for the Nanaimo Community Hospice Society.

Approximately 170 vehicles of every make and model and were on display in the parking lot and the cool cars and rock ‘n’ roll music attracted hundreds.

“It is unbelievable the support we get from local business each year for this show,” said Bob Falk, one of the organizers. “The positive responses, donations and prizes for this event continue to grow. What a great community we live in.”

Since 2012, the event has raised more than $26,470 for the hospice society. Hospice is a non-profit that supports individuals and families facing caregiving, dying and grieving. Visit www.nanaimohospice.com to learn more.

Car show organizers are already thinking about next year’s event; for information about how to register, please call Falk at 250-758-1731.
