City hosts Youth Week 2014

A week-long city celebration is all about youth.

The City of Nanaimo is getting ready to host Youth Week 2014 this May with activities like cupcake decorating, yoga, hip-hop and a learn-to-DJ session.

The annual event, geared toward teens between 12 and 18-years-old, is aimed at connecting youth with their community. Thirteen events – many of them free – will be offered between May 1-9, including a glow in the dark dance. Other events will be hosted by the Regional District of Nanaimo.

For a complete schedule from the City of Nanaimo visit the YOUth Nanaimo Facebook page at http://cnan.ca/1ryAOvl. A list of activities in the RDN can be found at www.rdnyouth.ca.
