Christmas comes early for children

Nanaimo’s First Baptist Church youth group is hoping a little summer fundraising will make a child’s Christmas that much brighter.

The group is hosting a hotdog sale, car wash and bottle drive Sunday (July 6) at 1650 Waddington Rd from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

All proceeds go to Operation Christmas Child which brings joy and hope to children in desperate situations around the world through gift-filled shoe boxes.
