Tree chipping helps pay for playground
Nanaimo residents wanting to get rid of their bottles and Christmas trees at the same time can go to the south end location of Country Grocer today (Jan. 5).
Park Avenue Elementary School’s parent advisory council is hosting a bottle/tree chipping drive from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the parking lot – off Twelfth Street – with proceeds going toward new playground equipment for the school. Tree chipping is courtesy of Davey Tree Services.
