Citrus campaign proves sweet
A healthy dose of vitamin C – for community – was dispensed around the Harbour City thanks to participants in the Rotary Club of Nanaimo North’s Citrus for Charity campaign.
Community residents purchased boxes of Florida grapefruit and oranges for non-profit organizations, resulting in: 371 kilograms of citrus for Loaves and Fishes Community Food Bank; 254 kg for the Salvation Army; 127 kg for the Rotary community breakfast; and 72 kg each for Haven House and the John Barsby Secondary School breakfast program.
