Santa flips for pancakes at breakfast

North Oyster and Area Historical Society hosts its annual children’s Christmas event Saturday (Nov. 24).

Bring the kids and arrive hungry for this year’s Christmas Pancake Breakfast with Santa.

There will be fun, hands-on activities for the whole family including face and nail painting, temporary tattoos, cookie decorating, the Wheel of Surprise, a creative crafts table plus door prizes for children under 12, a Christmas raffle and entertainment by the Shriners Mount Arrowsmith Clown Unit, Island Farms’ Farmer Vickie and Daisy the Cow and Jumping Jiminy.

There will also be photos with Santa by News Bulletin photographer Chris Bush after Santa is chauffeured to the event by the North Oyster Volunteer Fire Department.

The breakfast happens at Cedar Community Hall 9 a.m. to noon.

Admission: $5 adults, $2 children.

Families are also asked to bring non-perishable food items for Christmas hampers and items for babies, to be donated to local charities.
