Team sticks it to prostate cancer
Get in the game this Movember and make sure you have the right equipment.
Sher-Wood Hockey, manufacturers and Movember, the global charity that raises funds and awareness for men’s prostate cancer, have teamed up to create the official hockey stick of Movember, available at ReAction Source For Sports in Nanaimo and other stores across the country.
The stick retails for $100, and 15 per cent of each sale supports Movember through funding research and programs across Canada for those afflicted by prostate cancer, and men’s mental health issues.
“Winter in Canada is heralded with moustaches on the faces of thousands of men, it’s moustache and hockey season alike and we’re pleased that Sher-Wood is supporting both,” says Peter Bombaci, national director, Movember Canada.
The stick, a Sher-Wood composite one-piece stick featuring images of different styles of hockey-themed moustaches, is available until Jan. 31.
