APPLAUSE: Neighbours come to rescue
To the Editor,
Just when you get the feeling that there is no kindness left in the world, we would like to tell your readers there certainly is.
Thanks to Koda, the puppy, who alerted his owners who phoned 911; to John who banged on the bedroom window to wake us up; the neighbours who came over to offer shelter for the night; and the speedy arrival of the fire department.
All of these people, and a dog, saved us from losing our house and even our lives.
Thank you, thank you, we will never forget that there really are caring people and we met them all during that awful time.
We are grateful to you all.
