Pizza sales heartwarming for charities

Boston Pizza customers put their money where their hearts were Valentine’s Day, raising more than $614,000 in support of charity.

On Feb. 14, $1 from the sale of each heart-shaped pizza sold at the restaurant’s 345 locations across Canada went to the Boston Pizza Foundation.

The money goes to help charities including the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Kids Help Phone and Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Since 1993, the Boston Pizza Valentine’s Day program has raised close to $5 million.
