Yoga event support Nanaimo hospital
Yoga for Life strikes a pose to raise funds for the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital Emergency Room Department.
People of all ages and abilities can participate in a 75-minute class held at John Barsby Community School on March 3 at 12:30 p.m. for a minimum donation of $20.
In addition, people can raise extra funds from their community and vie for prize packages that include a Moksha Yoga package worth $1,600, a night out package, an adventure package and more.
Created by Kristen Butler, owner of Moksha Yoga Studio, and Dana Ellis, the fundraiser will be a modified yoga class conducted by MYS founder, Ted Grand.
Money raised from the event, as well as from MYS Karma classes, will support expansion and improvement of the emergency department at NRGH, said Butler.
