Boys and Girls Clubs think pink to tackle bullying
Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Vancouver Island are into pink and are asking the public to join them.
The fifth annual Pink Shirt Day takes place Feb. 29, aiming to raise awareness of the 282,000 high school youth bullied each month nationally.
By purchasing and wearing a pink shirt, individuals can show their support in creating a society where there is no tolerance for bullying.
Boys and Girls clubs want to foster inclusion, acceptance and respect for self and others.
Funds raised from the sale of the shirts supports the clubs’ anti bullying programs. For more information, please call 250-754-3215.
