Businesses, leaders, get Sterling nod
The Greater Nanaimo Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations of business leaders who have made significant contributions to the community for its annual Sterling Awards.
Award categories include business leader of the year, junior citizen of the year, community spirit, marketing, and service, environmental sustainability, economic development, not-for-profit organization and new business.
Nominations can be mailed to Greater Nanaimo Chamber of Commerce, 2133 Bowen Rd., Nanaimo, B.C., V9S 1H8, e-mailed to reception@nanaimochamber.bc.ca or faxed to 250-756-1584. Nomination deadline is Feb. 24.
The Sterling Awards gala takes place May 4 at the Vancouver Island Conference Centre.
