Grocer serves up fundraising breakfast

Thrifty Foods is kicking off Canada Day celebrations a day early with its eighth annual Back Bacon Breakfast.
The family-friendly fundraiser takes place Thursday (June 30) from 6-10 a.m. at all Vancouver Island Thrifty Foods locations including Nanaimo at Port Place, Brooks Landing and Longwood Station shopping centres.
Suggested donation for a bunwich is $5 with all proceeds going toward the Queen Alexandra Foundation and Jeneece Place, a home away from home for Vancouver Island children and their families who require medical care in Victoria.
