Lightning strikes twice with business improvement tips

Getting a steady stream of new customers and keeping those you’ve earned is vital to a successful business.

The Nanaimo Chamber of Commerce, Young Professionals of Nanaimo and VSP Media have teamed up for Lightning Talks 2 – an informative, interactive, entertaining evening of learning how to use your existing customers to get new ones and how to enhance and protect your reputation and profile in this age of online exposure where word-of-mouth rules.

David Hatchman, of VSP Media, opens the evening with “Good Rep, Bad Rep”, a presentation on reputation management tips.

Media lawyer, Dan Burnett of Vancouver’s Owen Bird Law Corporation, presents No More Mr. Nice Guy - tales of online customer, and faux customer, interactions gone wrong and what to do should it happen to you.

Nick West, Enable Business Consulting, returns to Lightning Talks with “It’s Not Me, It’s You, You, You….” West reviews  tactics that ensure prospective customers find dealing with you such a pleasure, they will be driven to give you their business.

Braden Wheatcroft of Re/Max Nanaimo demonstrates how existing customers can be your most productive sales agents.

Lightning Talks 2 on Tuesday, June 24 at the Coast Bastion Hotel
